Lynne Craig (Brocious) Pierce died peacefully in Edmond, Oklahoma on Oct. 7, 2016, at the age of 75 after a long battle with lung cancer. Lynne was born on Jan. 7, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Gardner) Brocious.
She graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, in 1958 and from the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1961. Lynne's greatest love was her family and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lieutenant Colonel Robert V. Pierce, U.S. Army Retired, of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons, Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Pierce, U.S. Army Retired, wife Maggie and children, Michael and Robert of Shawnee, Kansas, Douglas P. Pierce, wife Caroline and children, Elizabeth and Zachary of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Colonel Stephen M. Pierce, U.S. Army, wife Ingrid and children Sarah, Mary Catherine and Elise, of Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania; daughters, Deborah L. Norrid, husband David and children, Christopher, Lindsay, Andrew, Brenton, Blake and Kate, of Bennington, Oklahoma, and Susan E. Snyder and children Benjamin and Olivia, of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren Madyson and Bryson Ingram, of Pottsboro, Texas, and sister, Susan Angle of Media, Pennsylvania also survive her.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents Frederick Brocious of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Wilhelmina Kuhn, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and her brother Theodore Kuhn, of Toms River, New Jersey.
A funeral mass and memorial service is at 11 a.m., Oct. 29, 2016, in the Daily Mass Chapel of the Catholic Parish of St. John the Baptist, Edmond, Oklahoma, with reception and luncheon to follow. Father Linh Bui will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lynne's life.
