Duncan - Mary Evelyn Beasley departed this life from her home in Duncan July 29, 2026, at the age of 99, entering her heavenly home. Mary was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Aug. 27, 1926, to Edward John Burke and Evelyn Rosalie Castell.

Mary attended high school locally and proceeded to college receiving a bachelor's degree in engineering physics from Tulsa University where she met Gerald LeRoy Beasley Jr. They married in Tulsa Sept. 2, 1949 and resided in Oklahoma City where God blessed them with five children. In 1961 the Beasley family moved to Duncan, where Gerald established a family medical practice and Mary cared for the home. In 1963, the family joined Bible Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. Mary's relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ influenced her meaningful love and care for others. God blessed Mary with a delightfully quick wit.

As a loving mother, her family was the joy of her life. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Kay, and her husband, Dr. Gerald Beasley Jr.

She is survived by children, Gerald Beasley III (Pat); Don (Melanie); Betty; and Robert (Bea), 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Bible Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery.
