Mary Elizabeth Brady Obituary

Duncan - Mary Elizabeth Brady, a beloved member of the Duncan community, passed away July 3, 2025, at the age of 40. Born Aug. 9, 1984, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Troy Brady and DeLisa Ward, Mary brought joy, warmth and light into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished friend. Her heart was as big as her smile, and her spirit as bright as her laughter. Whether you knew her from her work at El Palacios - where she was known as a true professional and the soul of hospitality - or from a karaoke night where she lit up the room as a fan favorite, Mary had a way of making everyone feel welcome and seen.

She was known not only for her incredible work ethic but also for the kindness and humor she brought into every space she entered. Her cheerful demeanor and generous nature touched countless lives, and she never turned down an opportunity to help someone in need.

Outside of work, Mary found her greatest joy in her family. She was a fun-filled, devoted mom who gave everything she had to those she loved. Her marriage was filled with love, laughter and play - especially when it came to enjoying retro video games side-by-side with her husband.

Mary lived her life with her whole heart, giving freely of her time, her energy and her love. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched - with laughter, compassion and joy that can never be forgotten.

Mary is survived by her husband Kale Newton of the home; children: Teagyn Koen, Harper Koen, Brentlee Newton, Ledger Newton of the home, Hannah Koen of Duncan, Ty Koen of Lawton, Kylan Newton of Oklahoma City; parents: DeLisa Ward and Charles Anderson of Duncan, Troy Brady and April Brady of Oklahoma City; grandparents: Allen Brady and Mary Lou Brady of Duncan; siblings: Jennifer Heath and Skylar Riegel of Duncan, Thomas Brady and Maria Rios-Brady of San Diego, California, Brandi Anderson of Duncan, Heather Brandt and Grayson Brandt of Duncan, Jennifer Tarnow of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Nancy Sweigart and Robert Sweigart of Denton, Texas, Eric Loviza and wife Amy Loviza of Marina Del Ray, California. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews and a great niece, all of whom she loved tremendously.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Thomas Stanley Ward Jr.; grandmother Geneva Mae Copeland; grandmother Claudine Anderson; grandfather Kenneth Anderson; brother Zachary Sutton; and niece Marlee Poston.

A beautiful soul has left this earth too soon, but the legacy Mary leaves behind will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
