Rosemary Grissom Obituary
Duncan - Rosemary Grissom, a woman whose laughter could light up a room and whose heart was as generous as the Oklahoma sky, passed away peacefully July 10, 2025. Born Aug. 11, 1953, in Duncan, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Agnes Helen Grissom and Louis Earl Grissom.
Rosemary's life was enriched by her close-knit family, whom she loved deeply. She is lovingly remembered and survived by: her sisters, Joene Grissom of Austin, Texas, and Marilyn Matulis (Jerry) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her brother Joe Earl Grissom (Debbie) of Moore, Oklahoma; and her treasured nieces and nephews, Jeremy Matulis (Julie), Jeff Matulis (Jane), Matt Matulis (Megan), Robert Grissom, Angela Grissom and Steven Grissom (Dominique); as well as six beloved great-nieces and nephews.
She now joins in eternal rest her parents Agnes and Louis Grissom, and her sisters Steve Ann Grissom and Linda Pemberton.
A proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, Rosemary earned her Bachelor of Science degree in May 1975. Over the years, she dedicated her talents and hard work to roles as a Nursing Home Administrator, Office and Business Manager and Independent Project Producer. No matter the title, she brought a steadfast commitment to excellence, a quick wit, and an unwavering sense of humor.
Those who knew Rosemary will never forget her quick, clever quips delivered at just the right moment, her warm smile, and the contagious laugh that could turn an ordinary day into a joyful memory. She had a special place in her heart for her four-legged friends, often caring for - and spoiling - multiple dogs at a time. Golf was her sport of choice, and she was a passionate, skilled player who cherished both the challenge and the camaraderie of the game.
To her nieces and nephews, she was far more than an aunt - she was an adventurer, a cheerleader and a steadfast supporter. She filled their days with trips, laughter, encouragement and unconditional love.
Rosemary's presence was a gift - her kindness, humor and spirited nature left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and every life she touched.
