Shirley Marie (Brott) Rains, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Lakeview Church of God with Pastor Daniel Robertson officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Shirley was born May 23, 1935 in Lusk, Wyoming to Harry and Viola (Auer) Brott. She married the love of her life, Herman Rains, on October 8, 1953 in Iowa Park. Shirley was a business woman who owned and worked in several businesses including The Famous Department Store, Shirley's Flowers, and Shirley Rains Real Estate. She was a 30 year resident of Iowa Park prior to moving to Duncan, Oklahoma where she and Herman have lived for 30 years. Shirley opened City Floral upon moving to Duncan in 1988. She was an avid pottery, cookie jar, and doll collector. Shirley dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Craig Alan Rains; and 12 of her siblings.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 67 years, Herman Rains of Duncan, Oklahoma; Vincent Rains and his wife, Debbie of Iowa Park; Keith Rains and wife, Terri of Midland, Texas; Casey Rains and wife, DeLynn of Duncan; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Clinton, Shay, Dustin, K.P., Shawn, Ronna, Chelsea, Kenzie, and her "best buddy" grandson, Taylor who loved helping his Mamaw; and 23 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
