Oklahoma City - Stanley Carl Davis, 76, passed away surrounded by his family Oct. 28, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born in Stratford, Oklahoma, Aug. 23, 1949, Stanley was the beloved son of Carl Young Davis and Lura Verie (May) Davis.

A private graveside memorial service is being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements are handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Stanley graduated from Farmington High School and worked as a chemical engineer in the oilfield industry throughout his career. His work was marked by dedication and precision.

Beyond his professional life, Stanley was a man of many passions. He found joy in woodworking, mowing and tending to his yard — simple pleasures that reflected his love for nature and craftsmanship. Stanley was a lifelong baseball enthusiast and his Saturday morning coffee ritual was sacred. He enjoyed movies, music and the daily challenge of Wordle, always eager to learn and laugh.

Stanley had a special fondness for travel, especially the scenic beauty of New Mexico and the breathtaking "Million Dollar Highway." Through the lens of his camera, he captured the world with an artist's eye. Of all his joys, none compared to the love he held for his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Stanley's legacy is one of warmth, curiosity and unwavering devotion to family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Lura; and sisters: Karlene Carter and Frances Slaughter.

Survivors include his beloved wife of over 30 years DeeAnn; children: Mandy Steward and husband Greg, Matt Davis and wife Melissa; grandchildren: Bryson Tullous, Caden Tullous, Dailynn Munsey and husband Dustin, Kaylee Davis; and sister, Mary Craig.
