Stella Joan "Joanie" Cook passed away January 29, 2021 in Duncan, OK. She was born October 26, 1940 in Stafford, CT to Stanley and Stella K. (Kology) Dymerski.

There will be no viewing at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, private graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, February 6, at 11:00 A.M. in the Marlow Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Joanie married the love of her life, Harold Jay "Harry" Cook, on December 27, 1969, in La Mesa, California. Harry preceded her in death in 2019. She was employed as a court clerk. She loved her family. Her passion was breeding and showing Keeshond dogs. She also loved horses. Joanie was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Joanie is survived by her stepson, David Cook and wife Denise; step grandchildren, Philip Cook and Matthew Cook; 4 step great grandchildren; sister: Sandra Hollay; niece: Robin Campbell and husband Brian; and nephew: Jeffrey Hice and husband Stephen Suprak.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.
