Thomas Kenneth 'T.K.' Nunley Obituary

Oct. 17, 1915 - Dec. 29, 2014 Kenneth Nunley, 99, of Duncan, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Duncan Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ with Leonard Keele officiating, interment will follow at Rock Creek, with military honors provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard, and arrangements are under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ. Kenneth was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Stephens County to Thomas J. and Anne Patton Nunley. Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Duncan area, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps during W.W. 11 and was a member of the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ. Kenneth and Nell Dennis were married April 21, 1940, in Stephens County at her home. Nell preceded him in death Jan. 1, 1998. Survivors include sons, L.E. Nunley and his wife Marsha of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Jerry D. Nunley of Duncan; also surviving is a brother, Leo Nunley of Otsego, Michagan; a sister, Alice Hendricks of Lamar, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jana Powers, Glenda Newsome, Paula Gutierrez, Jenifer Collins, Amity Hipp and Michael Nunley; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Leo T. and John L. Nunley. Nephews will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Chisholm Trail Church of Christ Elders.
