Lawton - Tommie Joe Moore was born June 18, 1946, in Comanche, Oklahoma to Tommy Moore and Jolene (Damron) Bojorquez. He passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 79.
Tommie was raised by his grandmother, Cora Moore, and attended Comanche schools. He spent many summers visiting his aunt and uncle, FloyDean and Melvin (Tubby) Damron. Throughout his life, he worked as a truck driver, owning his own trucking company, Tommie Moore Trucking. Outside of work, Tommie found joy in being surrounded by family and friends, and nothing made him happier than firing up the grill and cooking for them.
Preceded in death by his parents, Tommie is survived by his daughter, Kelli Burke, of Duncan; grandson, Tyler Burke; and brother, Mike Moore and wife Michelle, of Eastland, Texas.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
